Veerbhadreshwara Khanavali

-->
It is the name of eatery very near to place I stay. I always considered it as a blessing since it had started operating in months after I had asked Universe a question “ You have provided me with everything, but for food ?”. Since its now relocating far from my place, my wait will start for another blessing.

For the owner this was startup, he used to request every customer to tell their friends about the place and bring them too. This strategy worked for me as I got to know about this eatery via a friend. On my first visit he was expressing his concern about number of customers. He was not getting enough profit to pay for rental and water bill. Now, he has good number of customers, he is confident and I find him the same gentle man which he used to be.

I had observed that his entire family stood by him, supported him in his venture. His kids used to serve food, elders used to prepare food and he used to clean. His little daughter was so pretty and neatly dressed that every visitor liked to pamper her. One day a gentleman customer while having food asked owner to let him adopt her. He did not get any reply.

Owner calls his daughter, Sunta. Her name is Sunita. Many people pronounce name “Shruti” as Surti, its fine, I dont find it funny. But when they spell it as “Surti” it brings smile on my face. There is a writing on the wall near cash table which reads “Sunita, Sunil and Surti” may be some one among them had written with pencil. I will miss reading it.

Owner has considerable Noth Karnataka Kannada accent. Some times people living in Bengalooru find it difficult to understand. Once a customer came in to have breakfast. He asked owner, what is available? Owner replied “Dwashi, Mandakki soosla” I was watching face of that customer, his expression was of disbelief. He went outside read the the board above, came in and asked “what is there to eat?”. Owner replied with straight face ““Dwashi, Mandakki soosla”. After some time customer realised, his expression changed, he asked “Oh Dose naa ?”. “Haan Dwashi” was the answer.

I had a very special experience there. I do not remember which day it was, but I remember on that day I had good meditations and when I went to eatery they served me such tasty food that I could not believe my taste buds. How can they serve food with such customized taste?I really enjoyed food and thanked God for such a nice meal. No soon I had finished thanking, people sitting next to my table started murmuring and a loud voice came from that table “Add Salt!!”. Owner apologized to them and after tasting food, conveyed that additional salt and chilly would be added. I thanked God again and came out with a mischevous smile as I was feeling lucky.

I am bit sad as I am going to miss good food, eatery owner, his family as they were all part of my blessing.

I wish owner and his family all the very best and success.

God is there to take care of me, he has billions of hands and many ways to take care of me :)
